Silentblocks and their uses
The silentblock is a component made of flexible material, which is used for flexible mounting of moving parts. They are made of rubber thermosetting solutions, which are vulcanized on their metal parts via bonding coatings.
The silentblock dampens and minimizes the transmission of noise and small vibrations to the vehicle chassis. In conjunction with major spring elements such as springs and dampeners.
Silentblocks are often used in the automotive industry for mounting axle arms, engines, stabilizers, gearboxes and especially for fixing exhaust pipes and suspension systems of vehicles and other technical equipment such as electric motors, vibrating conveyor systems, etc.. The flexible part of the silentblock is made of rubber, it separates the metal parts while allowing some movement.
